Subject: SEETHER FANS PLEASE READ!!

Hello-
I know this is long winded but unlike the index your of United States History textbook, this is worth the read.

I am writing this post hoping that you all can help me in creating a special gift for Shaun and his family this Christmas. I know I am relatively new to this forum and although you may know nothing about me I know a good bit about many of you (and I mean that in the least creepy way possible). I am a good friend of Shaun’s and since I have joined I have had the pleasure of matching up the faces (or flaming skulls) to the people that he has referenced many times in conversations. He is so thankful for all of you and I don’t know any other rock star who will take the time to sift through a pseudo-functional forum which lacks any type of search engine just for that one post that cracks him up every time. What I can tell you with the utmost confidence is that as a friend, Shaun is every bit as passionate and sincere as his lyrics and every bit as loyal as he is to his fans. With that said I’ll stop there and eagerly extend this invitation to anyone interested in creating something that will be a permanent momento for Shaun.
For Shaun’s birthday I wanted to make a scrapbook (sans sparkle glue and wiggly eyes) that he can give to his family back in SA for Christmas. I feel so fortunate that I have seen first hand how his music has changed the lives of so many people and I want his parents to have that ability as well. The unfortunate part about this project is I don’t have a lot of pictures and although I could grab random fragments from the cyber world it wouldn’t come together nearly as personal as I would like. That is where all of you come in. If any of you can take a little bit of time to either send a photo or a personal message about how you have been influenced by Shaun or his music it would be awesome. I have created a separate email account for this and although Shaun knows about the project he will not get to see any emails until it is finished. Also, I am planning on doing something for him as well so if you want to write something separate for his gift and his parents just make it clear in the email. I really want to encourage all of you to express anything you like and I can assure you I am not a hoax and what you send me won’t be publicized. This is kinda like a Post-Secret…only Post-Seether. Also, if you have other ideas or can think of something different you would like to contribute let me know. I am sure many of you write letters or post without any validation that it even gets read, but I can assure you that your contribution to this is as personal as it gets. Oh and just to make it really difficult Shaun wanted me to request normal smiling pictures of himself if anyone has them…whose fault is THAT?
I would like to add that I am hoping to add a section about Eugene in the scrapbook as well. To be honest, this is also motivated selfishly by me because I never got to meet him and I want to know as much about him as possible. Shaun has expressed that he has very few pictures of his brother and even fewer of them together. So again, any contributions about Eugene or photos are extremely desired.
There is no deadline as of now for submitting something but I was hoping to have things done by Christmas. If it takes a little longer that will be fine, I would rather people take their time then feel rushed. Please email Neurotransmisshaun@gmail.com.

This is so sweet! I would be honored to add to the scrapbook and possibly even a separate message for this other present...it'd be easier to write something for that if I knew what it was but I know you can't divulge much more here ;) but the scrapbook is a definite for me. Expect an email from me in the next few days!

Hmmm, I had a feeling about you. I'm glad I can still count on my gut instinct to be right.

I love the idea, gifts from the heart are always the best. I am working on the same kind of project for my Grandfather's 80th Birthday. My deadline for that is Dec. 13th. Yet, another thing the Seether world knows about me. Shhhh, just don't tell my Grandpa. Haha

I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Shaun, and yes I'm kicking myself in the ass for that. I will put something together and send it your way. I like the idea of the Eugene section, but it is very sad that Shaun doesn't have many pictures of him. I hope that some of you who have been on here longer than I have can make that wish come true.

Awesome idea...keep us updated on the projects progress!!!

I would absolutely love to contribute something. But I'm a little unclear about what you're asking for. I have never met Shaun so I don't have any pictures of him or anything like that.

I have this drawing that I did a while back. I drew the SEETHER logo (the word that you see at the top of this forum) and at the bottom I put...

I'll definitely contribute. I have a folder on my computer saved with pictures of Shaun and Seether and I'll try to send you some of the normal smiling ones. I made a background out of some of those so I know I still have them. Give me a little bit of time and I'll write something really nice for you to give him. :)

I think I need to clarify what I am asking for... but first, a sincere thank you for such prompt responses. At the risk of exposing myself as an extremely sensitive individual I will admit that my original post took me about 4 days to write. The context in which Shaun and I met was more or less unrelated to his music and it was only recently that I went to my first Seether concert. Now, given I have always been a Seether fan, I still felt intimidated to ask all of you for such an emotionally charged favor without earning your respect or trust first.

I am not asking for anything specific for this book. Things I had in mind were either contributing photos (by scanning them into email) or sending just a personal message. In the end anything goes so try to have fun with it. I have had people submit things they have drawn, pictures of tattoos, accounts of how a certain song has affected them. Just keep it from the heart and respectful (no nudity please...unless of course it is specifically for Shaun, in which you would have to ask for Nick's permission first).

Again, Ill be in contact through email for Shaun's what-have-you.

PS- I was trying to think of a title for the book but the best thing I could come up with was something like "The "Fan"tastic Memoirs of Seether" ...I know what you are thinking...consider this a cry for help!

I think it was inappropriate too, but this is the same person that posted about the Bloomsburg, PA show that had nothing more to say than that the show sucked and Shaun was becoming a little rock dick. In other words, just try to ignore the troll.

But anyway, neurotransmisshaun, now that you put it like that I've got great ideas coming to me about what I could do so thank you :) of course, it'll probably take a little longer now but it should be all worth it.

Thanks for all the replies! I keep forgetting to mention 2 things:

1) In the very least if you don't have pictures or the time to write something you can suggest a post you made previously and I can dig it up. I might just do that anyway since some of the threads over the years have been pretty funny/inpiring.

AND

2) Does anyone know how to spread the word about this?? I put a note up on facebook but I don't know of any other outlets. Thoughts??

Yeah, I know. Not a lot of information. I might just say "Help create a Shaun Morgan gift" and put the link in the info box on YouTube. Probably just be like, "go to (link) for more information."
